You can say that each time a new product comes out, it is something you want to get your hands on right away. The article explains that each time they enlarge their phones the revenue goes higher. The stance of the reading is non biased. Even though the author knows a lot of information about the products, he gives you information from both sides. The language is clearly written news article. Very formal with correct grammar and news background. This reading is a social media post written by a blogger from instagram. “Biggest Business Lesson from Apple” social media post written by Business growth is briefly talking
about how Apple has become successful by its assets; getting it’s manufacture parts from other big companies. Apple targeting market is towards young people since they know more about technology and know what it’s product can be capable of doing. Apple’s mission statement is to become the best known product in the entire world that will satisfy their consumers in style and its technology. At this point, Apple is known all over wherever there is accessible technology. The strategy to achieving that goal is by taking different parts from different industries in the world that is well known and combining it into one final product which is known as an iPhone. As said in the post, “Each and every part of Apple mobile is manufactured by a different company” (Business Growth Mentor, picture 2). Meaning if you want to take over the phone industry you have to get to know your competitors and use their own products and make it as a one for you to sell and succeed. His knowledge of technology is high because most of his posts are related to technology/business. The audience for his social media posts are people that want to get into marketing industry and consumers. The tone of the article is very formal and polite. He wants his audience to be informed and know whats going on in Apple companies. The purpose of this article is to explain why Apple is becoming a high tech product and why so many people are buying expensive phones. The genre of this article is business report. The post highlights important words and bullet points to capture the reader’s attention.

He is not taking side on either company and just wants to inform and educate others. For example, in his last picture uploaded, he uploads a photo showing his credentials. To follow if you want to learn more about business and marketing. The language of this article is informative because the post uses both business and marketing terminology. Last but not least, we take a look at an academic journal writing about the success of Apple products. The journal is named “The Innovative Success that is Apple, Inc.” and is written by Katherine Johnson, Yang Li, Hang Phan, Jason Singer, and Hoang Trinh. The journal talks from the beginning stages of Apple ever since Steve Jobs created the company to the latest competitors. The journal gives you a quick runthrough of the history of the company dating back all the way to the 1976. Showing you different strategies to become a better competitor, comparing and contrasting other companies, and a brief history. The genre of this journal is a scholastic article. Students have collaborated and research to make this journal. The medium of this journal is through email, since their emails are posted at the top of the page. The stance is leaning more towards being an Apple fanatic. A lot of details are mostly about Apple and its success. The language of this article is informative, since it shows a lot of charts and numbers in the article. As shown on page 22, the authors included charts to show PC vendors and exhibits from Apple. Rhetorical situation is shown in almost every article that is online. It ranges from academic journals, to even social media posts. By reading through and analyzing each text, every author has a different way of writing and have a purpose to writing. The knowledge of knowing how to write the piece and how to deliver it also helps the author gain more readers attention. In all, no matter who the author is, everyone has a purpose of writing.
